Starting with a strong General Ledger with Dimensions for capturing and reporting transactions in virtually unlimited ways, a Budgeting application that integrates with Microsoft® Excel® ,both directions, for departmental participation, and a very flexible financial statement reporting, optionally into Excel or to HTML or even XBRL , the foundation for Microsoft Dynamics NAV General Accounting is unmatched in the mid-market.
For company groups that require Intercompany Postings, Microsoft Dynamics NAV provides full intercompany features not just in the General Ledger but also with orders and invoices. The system even provides intercompany features for companies that use different currencies.
The receivables and payables applications consist of customer and vendor databases that store all the information you need to manage customer and vendor relationships, including contact information and discount terms, as well as historical information for each account. Handling of cash payments and cash receipts is very flexible as well as transparent, with complete posting details available with a simple navigation.
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Fixed Assets system can be integrated not only with General Ledger, but also with the Accounts Payable and Purchasing applications to track assets from the PO throughout their useful lives. Virtually all types of depreciation are provided and assets can be valued in unlimited ways for book, tax, and insurance purposes. Assets may be linked to its specific insurance policies for easier insurance management. Allocate depreciation of fixed assets to combinations of dimensions, for example, Department and Project. This facility is normally used when several departments in a company share a fixed asset.
